Is there a difference in cycling, the experience of cycling, in northern Scandinavia versus how it is in Italy or in Hong Kong? There are the obvious differences like the landscape, the culture, the way roads are and were built and so on. The main difference is maybe that in Italy or Hong Kong cycling is pretty m,uch the same twelve months of the year. There is spring, summer, autumn and winter in those countries too, but not the way it is in scandinavia. Here there is 4 effective months of cycling on the road pluss a month before and after that "sweet-spot".
